Course Description:
All states have laws and their own legal system. In most countries you can only study national law. This programme provides you the opportunity to be taught international and European Union law on the basis of a more general understanding of what law is and how law functions. You will also learn about relevant factors when law is created:
- economics
- international relations
- history of law
- politics
Career Prospects
- civil servants for national ministries, the EU, the UN or other international organizations
- diplomacy
- positions in non-governmental organizations (such as Amnesty International or Greenpeace)
- careers in the international commercial sector (such as Unilever or Shell)
- academic teaching and research
Entry into traditional legal professions (advocate, attorney, barrister, judge, etc.) is not guaranteed upon completion of the programme, as such entry is conditional on national requirements.
